About

You are calling Aaron Ramos.

Not a call centre, not a dispatcher, not a franchise with a territory map. The Instagram bio is four lines long and one of them is a location pin: El Sereno, California 90032.

It started with a name on a shirt

In March 2021 the Ramos Electrical Services account went up with a handful of finished jobs and one caption that reads like a thesis: “Thanks you all for supporting my Dreams.” A dining room fixture. An office ceiling opened up. A TV wall. A kitchen cabinet run installed for a neighbour, tagged #JackOfAllTrades.

A month later he wired an outdoor weatherproof outlet at East Side Cafe so the El Sereno Community Fridge could be plugged in — and posted it, not as marketing, but with the line “it was a pleasure helping out my community.”

Why the work reads the way it does

Most of the housing around El Sereno and East LA predates the way anyone actually uses electricity now. Knob-and-tube in the attic. Cloth-jacketed cable with insulation that cracks the moment a device gets pushed back into the box. Sixty-amp services asked to carry a modern kitchen, an AC unit and, increasingly, a car.

Those houses do not need somebody who can only install new things. They need somebody who can read what is already there and tell you honestly which of the three problems you have. That is what a neighbourhood electrician does that a dispatcher cannot.

English and Spanish, in plain words either way

Electrical work has a vocabulary problem: the words that describe it accurately are the same words used to make a small job sound frightening. You should be able to hear what is wrong, what it takes, and what happens if you wait — in the language you think in, without anyone leaning on the word “dangerous” to close a sale.

The honest limitation: this is a small operation. If your job needs a crew of six on a Tuesday, say so on the first call and you will be told plainly whether it fits. That is a better conversation than finding out in week two.
