Your domain is your address on the internet. Choosing it well makes you easier to find, remember, and trust — choosing it poorly makes every other marketing effort harder.
Keep it short and spoken-friendly
If you can say your domain out loud over the phone without spelling it twice, it's a good one. Avoid hyphens, numbers and uncommon abbreviations.
Pick the right extension
.ca and .com.co tell local visitors immediately that you're a local business — often a stronger trust signal than a generic .com for a neighbourhood service.
Match it to how people search
Include your service or city only if it stays short — e.g. brightsparkelectric.ca. If it gets long or awkward, your business name alone is usually the safer choice.
Once you've shortlisted two or three options, check availability and register the one that's clearest to say, spell and remember — I can guide you through that part too.
